There are indeed some job opportunities for Data Science newcomers.
First of all I see good chances to start as a newcomer as a Data Scientist. But also the tasks of a Data Engineer, such as helping with pipelines, can be taken over by newcomers.
Of course it is always useful for companies to have experienced employees on board as well. Also working on automation of the machine learning stuff can be done by a newcomer.
Finally, I think that these three positions - Data Scientist, Data Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer - are all suitable as entry positions for graduates or newcomers.
I think it is more difficult in the area of Data Analysts. As a data analyst you need a lot of domain knowledge, which is why I a not 100% sure if this is suitable for newcomers.
One of the most important aspects to get such a job is to be able to show hands-on experience. Certificates of various courses are often seen. But what really counts in my opinion is the experience.
